An exploration of “All About Me”
As a celebration of every family in our school, we started the year with a collaborative project between school and home. In the classroom the children painted poster-board bodies which provided the background for a family collage. At home they continued the project with their parents, adding pictures, drawings, names and anything else that represents them. Once they brought the collages back, the children took turns sharing them with their classmates. The beautiful bodies are now hanging around the classroom where the children can look at them throughout the day and be reminded of the continuation between their home and school life.
